Description

The Municipality of Kalavrita, the Municipal Stadium and the Kiato Cycling Association are announcing an OPEN descent race, as part of the Downhill Panhellenic Cup.

Saturday 19 October: Route identification - Trial.
Sunday, October 20: Trial - Qualifying - Final.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19
09.00-18.00: Piste walking and free workouts
19.00-21.00: Receipt of numbers

SUNDAY OCTOBER 20
09.00-10.00: Receipt of numbers
09.00-11.00: Official training
11.00-13.30: Qualifying Round
13.30-15.30: Final race
16.30 pm: Awards at the Kalavryta toothed station

Route:
The route is technical with high speed steep slopes and high jumps, made for downhill bikes, with less than 160mm of full-suspension suspension.
The length is about 2700 meters.
The starting point is in the Castle area, at an altitude of 1250 meters.
The stop is in the area of ​​Sketzeka, at an altitude of 800 meters.

For the less experienced, there will be an alternative passage in all the difficult places.

RULES REGULATIONS
UCI / EEA safety rules apply.

Participants should:

• Use closed type helmets as well as all safety equipment (chest, knee pads), as well as the use of each rider's number, is mandatory in training. A rider with deficiencies in his equipment so that his basic safety is not covered will not receive a start.
• Have the number given to them by the secretariat on their bicycle handlebar.
• Inform the Secretariat in case of abandonment.

Race:
The downhill race will take place with 2 recognition descents and a qualifying race (individual timing) where all cyclists will compulsorily participate, and one final, where each cyclist's time will be recorded as official, and will count towards his final classification.

The starting order in the final will be the reverse of the qualifying rankings. A rider who does not have at least two official test attempts will not get a start. The tests and the formal training.

This year, there are six (6) open entry categories:

• JUNIOR (2001-2007)
• ELITE (1990-2000)
• MASTER (1980-1989)
• VETERAN (1979 and beyond)
• WOMEN of all ages (1 category)
• SINGLE CROWN regardless of age (1 category)

Minors 13 to 18 must be accompanied by a guardian for the necessary signatures or have with them a responsible guardian statement endorsed by a public authority (KEP, Police Department)
Age validity will be verified by displaying the police ID or other ID.

Participations:
Those with good health, fitness and technical training for Downhill's sport are eligible to participate.
