Day 1
We depart early in the morning for Tromso, situated in Northern Norway, with a connection flight through Munich and Oslo. We arrive in Norway at 15:00PM. From the airport, we take a 15-minute bus ride to the city. We settle in the central 3-star hotel and then start our stroll in order to get a first taste of the city. We reach the top of the hill of the city where we ascend by cable car and admire the magnificent panoramic view. Dreamy beauty with majestic Fjords and botanical gardens. At the end of the cable car ride, there is a nice little restaurant where we can have our lunch or a drink, depending on our mood. The terrace is ideal for capturing the unique landscape in a picture.

Day 2
Our day starts creatively with 2 activities! At 09:00AM we start for Whale & Fjord Safari. We board on the hybrid catamaran and sail off into the Fjords to observe something unique : orcas and whales. You will be provided with special suits, snacks and hot drinks which are included in the price. A detailed tour will be provided concerning the whales, the Norwegian marine fauna and generally information about life in Norway. We will be back around 15:00PM. At 18:00PM, our second activity Aurora Camp & Dog Sledding Experience will begin. We depart by a private coach for an out-of-town area. A chance to meet up to 300 Alaskan huskies at the largest husky camp, learn more about their history, way of life and habits. Afterwards, we will taste traditional Norwegian recipes and sit around an outdoor fire pit, roasting marshmallows and listening to our guide narrating us about the history of Northern Lights and the stories surrounding them. The highlight of our trip is the moment that we will experience the Northern Lights and take a picture that will form a lifetime’s memory. We will sleep in traditional Norwegian tents (Lavvu), around a central fire pit with sleeping bags, blankets, hot drinks and snacks.

Day 3
After having our breakfast, we put on our thermal suits and get into the sleds by twos to enjoy an incredible 1 – 1:30 hour ride. Then we go back to have our lunch and afterwards we will be driven back again by coach. We arrive in the city center at 02:30PM where you will have free time to explore the city. In the afternoon, we will visit an exceptional place, a Bar where everything is made out of ice, having temperatures below zero! We enjoy a short drink and continue to an impressive park in the north of the city, which has a large frozen lake in the center. We stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4
After our breakfast, we start our day with two guided tours. At the University Museum and the Polar Museum, explaining in detail the history, geology, culture and life in the Arctic Circle. At 18:00PM, another unique experience is starting, the Aurora Bus Chase. With the private coach we will travel several kilometers outside of the city, to avoid any light pollution. Depending on the weather conditions, we may be on the road for 1 and a half hours. Throughout the tour our guide will inform us about the formation and history of a spectacular phenomenon, the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). As a professional photographer, he will guide you so that you can successfully capture this spectacle in a picture. Keep in mind that if you want photos taken by his own equipment, the cost per photo is 30 euros. As ExploroLoco, organizers of this journey and photography enthusiasts, we are trained to take photos in these special conditions, as specific equipment and settings are required. We return at 01:00AM where we stay overnight.

Day 5
After having our breakfast, we head for Polaria. An impressive aquarium in a building with pieces of floating ice. Inside, we can see seals as well as films in a panoramic cinema showing us a fantastic journey through the Arctic in all its splendor. Continue on to the Arctic Cathedral. Emblematic building, situated in a magnificent location forms an icon of Tromso. Then, we leave to cross the beautiful picturesque bridge that connects the island with the mainland. From 15:00 to 19:30 you will have free time to rest or wander around. We dine all together in one of the best restaurants in the area (with reasonable prices) and taste the local specialties. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6
We depart early in the morning at 06:20AM for Athens, with connection flight through Oslo and Zurich. There we will have 03:30 hours of touring in the city. We arrive in Athens at night around 00:30PM

It is not necessary to use a passport, as long as your ID is in Latin characters, not handwritten and in very good condition. We always recommend having a valid passport on every trip.

You do not have to buy special winter equipment for the low temperatures in the area. You can rent everything you need from a small shop, for as many days as you want. You need to exchange money, since Norway has Norwegian krones and not euros.

You can exchange euros to krones at the airport or to downtown exchange shops.
They accept debit and credit cards almost everywhere.

Single room charge + 120 €.
