Hiking Olympus 1 Day Summit

We will meet in the center of the Kalivia village and with a 4×4 vehicle we will then drive off towards the mountain hut Christakis. The first 20 kilometres up to the location  is a tarmac road. Then it becomes a dirt road for another 22 kilometres (about 1-hour drive) until we reach the mountain hut at 2,430 meters altitude.

Leaving our vehicles there, we set off on foot for the rest of the way. We will follow the E4 European Trail for approximately 60 to 70 minutes! We traverse the peak of Skolio at an altitude of 2.912 m until we reach Skala. The most difficult part of our hike starts here.  We continue our hike up to the location Kakoskala and scramble our way up to the top! Mytikas at an elevation of 2.918 meters has been reached!

Analytical program
08:00: Meeting at Kalivia Village (central square) with your guide and briefing (from Elassona city 20 minutes’ drive by car)
08:15: Transfer to the mountain hut Christakis (2.400m) – 2 hours drive on a dirt road
09:30: Our hike begins
11:30: Arrival on the small Plateau of Kakoskala (2.860m) for a snack
13:00: Summit Mytikas (2.918m)
16:00: Arrival in the mountain hut Christakis (2.400m)
17:00: Arrival to Kalivia village – end of activity

Participation requirements:
Ages 13 - 70 years old (children accompanied by their parents)
Good physical & mental condition 
Absence of acrophobia(afraid of heights)
