Come and get to know the unexplored island of Aeolus, the "handmade island" as described by Cornelius Kastoriadis, which will enchant us with its unique cultural heritage, the architecture of the villages, its wild natural beauty and its gastronomic tradition.
Homeland of great artists such as Giannoulis Halepas, Nikiforos Lytras, Ioannis Filippotis and Gyzis, with the largest center of marble sculpture in Greece, with dozens of well-preserved traditional villages, with over 600 ornate and imposing doves all over the island. Tinos is an open-air work of art and culture that deserves to be explored bit by bit.

We invite you to a three-day hike, culture and gastronomy to get to know the true identity of this authentic island.

Day 1
Arrival in the morning at 11.00 with the first morning boat that leaves the port of Rafina at 07.30.
A member of our team will be waiting for you at the port to take you to your hotel.
A quick dip in the sea or in the hotel pool to cool off and start our tour.

Visit to the Holy Temple of Evangelistria of Tinos (Panagia of Tinos) and the museums and collections of the Foundation. Light lunch and early in the afternoon we start our first hike. We will be transferred to the beautiful village of Kampos and we will start our tour with a visit to the Tsoklis Museum. Immediately after we start our hike to the village of Tarambados and the open-air museum with the pigeons. The route continues to the traditional villages of Chatzirados and Ktikados with their particularly beautiful architecture and white alleys to head to the oldest path of the island and the Cities (ancient capital of Tinos) and end up in Chora, enjoying a unique sunset.

Free rest and dinner in one of the many taverns of Chora.

Day2
Immediately after breakfast we will be transferred to the north side of the island in "Exo Meria" to explore the absolutely handmade and man-made rural landscape, as we will pass through Kardiani and Ysternia to reach the traditional settlements of Platia, Panormos and finally Pyrgos.

The village, which has hosted the Panormos School of Fine Arts and the Marble Museum of the Piraeus Cultural Foundation since 1956, laying a solid foundation stone in the fields of sculpture, marble, painting and Art History.
Our hike starts from the small preserved village of Platia near Pyrgos. The first references to its existence are in documents of the 17th century. Crossing it at every step, the masterfully worked stone and marble will impress you.

Our journey continues to the area of ​​Karaboussa and the church of Agia Paraskevi, chapel neat and clean with a beautiful garden with oleanders, palm trees, fig trees and beautiful flowers and continue with a magical view to the island of Planet and the beaches of Kavalourko and Agia Thalas .

Stop for swimming in the picturesque seaside settlement of Panormos
In the port of Panormos, green marble was loaded from the quarries of the area and transported to the rest of Greece.
Then a slight uphill course through an exceptionally beautiful cobblestone path that will lead us to the center of the area Pyrgos.

Every corner of the Tower is a work of art, we will wander the picturesque cobbled streets, admire the art of marble in all its forms and visit the Museum of Marble, Before returning a coffee in the marble square, with the characteristic plane tree and the traditional marble transports to another era!

Route distance 9 km, Hiking duration about 4 hours.

Today we will enjoy our dinner gazing at the sea and the view of Syros in one of the taverns in Ormos Ysternion. Immediately after transfer to our hotel in Chora.

Day 3
Departure day though, with an enjoyable hike to say goodbye to this unique place.

Immediately after breakfast we are transported to the imposing Xomburgo where we will climb to the top for a visit to the medieval Castle enjoying the view of the sea and the other surrounding islands.

Our path follows the path that passes through the picturesque village of Koumaros with a short stop at the traditional cafe of the village. The continuation will find us crossing the passable path, which passes through the impressive granites and old crops to reach the village of Volax, famous for its basket weavers but also for its location, as it is the only village of Tinos that is entirely built into the granite formations. Explore the village and continue crossing the impressive landscape, huge, round, smooth granite rocks scattered everywhere. Continuing in the area of ​​Griza, along the ridge, with prinos, skina and oleanders, we will reach the village of Agapi, with the stone bridges, the many pigeons and watermills, the prickly pears and the almond trees. The architecture is of particular interest: the houses that preserve the traditional elements, the labyrinthine alleys with the characteristic arches, the natural springs, the well with the laundry, form a picturesque settlement, representative of the aesthetics of the island.

Somewhere here will end our journey and after tasting local delicacies at the traditional cafe.

Return to the port. The ship departs at 17.00

Hiking has a moderate degree of difficulty. They are also suitable for beginners with good physical condition.
This outdoor activity requires mental, physical and mental health on the part of all participants!
Safety: Each participant takes part in outdoor activities at his own risk. Participants must be covered by their own personal pre-trip health insurance. Personal insurance must at least cover medical expenses as well as air rescue.

Refunds in case of cancellation on the part of the participant are made only if the cancellation is notified 7 days before the start of the activity. Otherwise they are not refunded or offset with the next trip.

In case measures are imposed by the Authorities such that they do not allow the excursion to take place, the amount is refunded minus the amount of 15 euros.
