Hiking on Parnonas 2 days

Your excursion program is like a walk through history and nature. During the excursion, you will discover the villages of Vamvakou and Veria in western Parnon, where you will spend the night. On the second day, with the climb to the highest peak, Megali Tourla with an altitude of 1938m, you will feel the magic of the mountainous nature and you will end up at the Malevi Monastery, walking through the cedar forest, a monument of nature that creates unforgettable moments.

Our journey will begin on November 25, 2023, at 7:45 a.m., with a departure from Metaxourgio metro station with an exit at Karaiskaki Square. The bus will depart at this point. Then, after a journey of about 2 hours, there will be a stop to purchase snacks and isotonic drinks that may not have been done before.
After about an hour and a half we will reach the village of Vamvakou where we will have a guided tour by the Vamvakou Revival village revival team with the support of the SNF. The end of the bus journey will come after 30 minutes after we have reached Veria.

At this point, we will drop off our equipment at the village shelter.
After about half an hour we will start our two activities: Demonstration of setting up the tent and preparing the backpack.

Our day will end with lunch, analysis of our route and preparation of our equipment around 8 pm. On the second day, we will wake up at 7:15 AM, where our departure will be at 8:15 AM. After boarding the bus we will travel for about 35 minutes to the starting point of our Crossing, where it will last about 5 hours and 40 minutes.
The starting point will be the shelter of Parnon and after crossing the central part of Parnon we will end up in the only Malevi.
There the coach will be waiting for us to take the way back, making a stop in Agios Petros for food where everyone wants as there are options either for food or for coffee.
