River Trekking Bolovinena Canyon (Nilea Gorge) Evia

The legendary Bolovinaina Gorge is a relatively small but impressive gorge, well hidden in the dense forests of northern Evia. It is located at the eastern foothills of Xiro Mountain and its length reaches about 1,400 meters. From the gorge passes the main tributary of Nilea River. The entrance of the gorge is impressive, as at this point the gorge is very narrow and its height reaches 80 meters. Vertical rocks, small lakes, rushing waters, grassland patches and a dense riparian forest keep a small wealth of wildlife in them.
