An amazing mountain bike route that follows unknown paths in the beautiful pine forest of Sithonia, protected by the Natura 2000 network, [reaching the traditional settlement of Parthenonas! Circular route: 35 kms.
Our first stop is on St. Paul hill! There, between the enormous plane trees, we find the homonymous chapel, built in the beginning of the 20th century, next to an ancient water spring. From there, we follow a unique cycling route which explores every well-hidden corner of the pine forest of Sithonia In Chalkidiki, where the bees collect the nectar from the pine trees to bring it to their hive and eventually create the honey that they store in the honeycombs!
Magical points and alternating images during the entire mountain bike tour in the forest! After reaching the picturesque settlement of Parthenonas, we will stop to admire the breath-taking view of the Toroneos gulf and Kelyfos island (also known as the “Turtle"). What follows is a pleasant surprise for every cyclist, as we’ll descent on asphalt road for 5 km until we reach the provincial road for the last 10 km of our route.
