Riding at any standard has an inherent risk that you may fall off and could be injured. Please note that by using my service you accept that risk and agree that we
will not be liable for injury or damage to property.

We recommend that you ensure that you have an adequate medical cover with your travel insurance. I also reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking if, in my opinion, the rider would be putting themselves, others or my horses at risk due to physical disability, behavioural or attitude issues, or appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Do's and Don'ts
Do bring a small rucksack with water and snacks for longer treks.
Do wear sunblock because even in Spring and Autumn you can burn easily.
Do wear longer shorts or leggings even in the Summer so you don't get sore legs from chafing on the saddle.
Do spray yourself with mosquito repellant as a precaution.
You won't need a sun hat or cap because you will be wearing a safety helmet!
Do remember that my horses are real and not animatronics! They sometimes turn quickly, take a mis-step, flinch, etc., so you must pay attention and concentrate while riding.

Do not wear flip flops or strappy sandals (it is not safe footwear for riding and you may have to dismount and walk in places).
Don't forget your camera!

Please note that due to uncertain terrain, we do not trot, canter or gallop as it is unsafe for both horses and riders. All treks are at walking pace.

PLEASE also note that there are no toilets at the meeting point, nor is there a cash point so don't forget to 'go' before you come!
Weight Restriction
My horses are sturdy, however there is a limit to the amount of weight they can take both for their own health and the safety of the rider especially when trekking up steep inclines. Therefore I cannot book for anyone weighing more than 100 kilos for longer mountain treks and reserve the right to refuse a trek. Weight limit 95kgs (210lbs)
My horses are my pets and are my family, so I treat them as gently as I do my friends. They work hard, especially in the summer, and I rest them in shade with water and a bit of food in between treks to make sure that they are happy and enjoy my horse treks as much as my riders do.
My horses are medium-sized, sturdy, with good stamina and perfect for mountain trails as they are all surefooted. I don't use larger pack animals for my horse treks because they don't cope with the terrain as well as smaller, nibble horses, or as safely with regards balance, especially if they are being ridden by novices.
