Horse Riding one hour in Corfu, Greece

Our Horse Riding center in Corfu is run by Katerina Maliaki and Ilias Siriotis. Katerina had her first contact with horses and riding at the age of four and
has worked with horses and riders all over Greece. 
She is certified ENVIRONMENTAL EQUESTRIAN GUIDE & horse trainer, with many years of horse ridingexperience, participating in equestrian endurance races and qualification for the National Endurance Team of Greece in 2013. Ilias holds a first aid certification and is competent to provide first aid when necessary. 

He is also experienced working with horses since 2009. The stables are run in a professional and conscientious manner with, at the moment 18 horses.
We payindividual attention to each animal ensuring that they are well-mannered and in excellent condition. Most of them are rescued horses trained by Katerina and Ilias.
The Horse Riding centre in Corfu covers more than 4 acres .

There is a small arena (22x11) and the riders can ride in there before they go outside with their horses. 
There are 5 large stables, 1 small and 2 large shelters for the horses , 1 toilet, parking for 6-7 cars, 2 wooden kiosks and one tack room (3x6)of
which half is for storing the harness and the other half, the riders can change clothes if they prefer and leave their things or just relax and have a coffee. 
There are also 50 olive trees providing shade.

The one hour horse ride is taken place outside the stable yard in Corfu. The riders can see various aspects of Greek nature.
Olive groves, pine and oak forests, eucalyptus trees, cypress and many other tree species and countless flowers.
Moreover many traditional villages where time stands still and which give a pleasant insight into the Greek way of life.
Technical information:

Used tack: English and western depending on the rider’s experience and weight.
Max. weight tack: 100-110 kilo (max.6)
Minimum group size: 1
Maximum group size: 12
Level : novice, experienced / intermediate, and advanced riders. The leader is equipped with first aid kit. Riding helmets provided to all riders. 
Kids under 13 can have body protectors and ride on the lead with one of our guides.

Our horses are:
  • Small size: 2 shetland ponies (max. weight 30 kg)
  • Midium size: 7 (max. weight 80 kg)
  • Big size: 6 (max. weight 110 kg)
Please be advised:
For your comfort wear closed-toe shoes and not flip flops or sandals.
Preferably long pants to avoid any injuries from the  rubbing of your skin to the saddle .
Bring mosquito repellent and a small rucksack to keep your things in and be able to wear it while riding.
