The area is the main starting point for climbers destined to conquer the peak of Grammos which is the fourth highest mountain in Greece.
The path from the hotel to the top of Grammos (2520m.) is 11.5km and takes about 4 hours. It starts from the hotel 1350m passes through the old military outpost (1975m. Altitude), following the ridge, meets the peak (2231m. . altitude), then the top (2441m. altitude) and ends at the top of the Line 2520m.

routes with 4x4 cars as a 22 km long forest road connects Plikati with Aetomilitsa. The area is home to a large number of wildlife populations (bear, wolf, eagle, ibex, roe deer, hare, mountain perch. ) while the flora of the place is equally rich in plants and herbs (mountain tea, oregano, etc.)
