Climbing Pelion (Volos), Greece

The rock climbing in Pelion, Greece is on different types of limestone rock, which is located, either high in the mountains or directly from the beach. In total there are over 10 bolted climbing areas, with grades up to 8a.
During the last years a number of new climbing fields have been discovered and they have been equipped with new routes and many possibilities for all levels of climbers.

Whether you are an experienced climber or not, rock climbing is an amazing activity. If you choose Mount Pelion for your climbing experience you will be rewarded with the most wonderful view. Some climbing spots are very close to the beach, where you can also enjoy the sea breeze with all, family and friends.

Hide Schedule

We meet our guide in the parking place of the restaurant Remvi in Agios Onoufrios Village, 10 min from Volos by car.
From there we take all our climbing equipment and after a 10 min walk we arrive in the famous Block B, a favorite rock for beginners.

With the amazing view of Pagasiticus gulf and Makrinitsa we have a short briefing about the our equipment, our skills and of course our safety.
Finally we start climbing the different routes on the rocks until the sun sets, covering the horizon with an orange-purple color.
It’s time to collect our equipment, discuss about this new experience and organize the next one.
