Sea route A: Agiokampos - Veneto Sea Caves - Kamari, 15 n.miles

We cruise along picturesque bays and beautiful beaches such as Milos Glymmeni with the old mine, Asprovrachos, Diamonds beach and the beach of Alfonso where the first form of agrotourism in Greece was established, back in the 1950ies. A route of about 15 n.miles until we reach the coast of the tiny hillside village of Veneto.

Accessible by sea, in a landscape of wild beauty and untouched by human intervention are the magnificent sea caves of Veneto. We'll explore these inimitable works of nature by boat, swim around and snorkel in the Cave of Aegeus where according to Greek mythology, the marriage of Peleus and Thetis, parents of Achilles, took place. A short distance away and another stop is awaiting, this time at Limniona beach where we'll discover the natural "cooler" of the bay.

We'll head back early afternoon, stopping at yet another beach... Kamari. We arrive at the little port and walk for 10 minutes to the next beach. Here you have many options - swim, sunbathe, try out the greek "frappe" or have lunch in a local fish tavern.

Late afternoon return, to the port of Agiokampos.

Sea route B: Agiokampos – Veneto Sea Caves – Ntamouhari - Kamari, 30 n.miles

Early afternoon... we continue in a southerly direction to reach the charming settlement of Ntamouhari. It is in this picturesque village that many scenes of Hollywood movie "MAMMA MIA" were shot. In this captivating seaside setting, it is worth taking the time to enjoy some meze and local delicacies, accompanied by Pelion tsipouro (the Greek grappa).

With the warm orange tint of the sunset embracing us, we head back towards Agiokampos but not before a "secret stop". An afternoon dive in a very small cove, where, if we are lucky, we will meet "Maria" in her cave!
