Hiking to the top of Eros of Hydra

The transfer to Metochi will be done by luxury bus from Athens. From there we will cross to Hydra by specially chartered boat for our team. (not with the cruise ship to save time). We will have time to explore the white picturesque alleys of the port and explore them before starting our hike to the highest point of the island. We start through the port and head to Agios Konstantinos Hydraios which offers a panoramic view of the port from above. Then we will reach the monastery of Profitis Ilias, where Theodoros Kolokotronis was imprisoned. Our hike will have as its highest point of reference the peak of Eros, where the popular and beloved mountain race of the island passes.

The view throughout our course is magnificent as the endless blue will dominate our field of vision along with the earth tones of the mountain. Panoramic view of 360 degrees, on the one hand the Myrtos Sea and on the other the Saronic Gulf with the rest of its islands. We will continue downhill now, heading to the beach of Vlychos, where according to Forbes is the most beautiful beach on the island that no visitor should miss.
There we will take our cool dips and have lunch (PRIMARY meal) at the well-kept restaurant Enalio.
Both the space and the food are equally neat! The view of Vlychos beach will put you in plans for the next time. Those of you who follow will remember this!

Hiking route about 8 km / altitude +/- 588 meters (Degree of difficulty moderate A +)
Aimed at hikers and people in good physical condition.

Do you want to be there, but do not want to go to the top?
In case you just want to wander the alleys of the island and get to know Hydra without taking part in hiking, there is this possibility. The difference is that you have to go by taxi-boat to Vlychos (ticket 6 euros) to meet the rest of the group there, from where our departure from the island will take place.
