Description
Hiking Nemouta Waterfalls in Peloponnese, Greece
(Contact us for availability)
Nemouta is a small village in the area of Foloi in the prefecture of Ilia, near Ancient Olympia. Foloi is known for its stunning forest of oak trees. Below Nemouta flows the river Erymanthos. There are many tributaries that feed Erymanthos. In the area of Nemouta the valley of Erymanthos has many steep and high slopes, so the tributaries form waterfalls. With its orgiastic vegetation, the landscape is incredibly beautiful and has an exotic feel. It is no exaggeration to say that sometimes you are left speechless!
We suggest 2 hikes, a long one beside Erymanthos river and then up in Nemouta, passing by the amazing waterfalls and another, shorter one with just the waterfall part. The hike can be started from a different starting point to prolong the pleasure of the river and a couple of small waterfalls. Approximately 7 hours, for all well-conditioned hikers
