On eastern Olympus, west of Dion, there is a paradise unknown to many! The reason for Rema Orlia. According to the legend, Orlias, the ancient river of Pieria, "disappeared" from his shame, when he refused to purify the Mainades who wanted to wash their hands there from the blood of Orpheus. The river then entered the ground and came to the surface again just outside Dion, where it forms its waterfalls. Rema Orlia is one of the main streams of Olympus and has water all year round.
