Some of the activities you can do near the area of Rethymnon are paragliding, motorized paragliding (paratrike), hiking, buggy, 4x4 off road safari and sea kayaking. In Georgioupoli there are horse rides, 4x4 safari, Almyrida there are beaches for surf and sup, diving, boat trips, sea kayaking and sailing.

If you want to go out during the night for a drink you should visit Almyrida, Kalyves and the old town of Chania.
