Mountain Biking: Coastline & Forest, Preveza

The starting point of our cycling route is located at the top of Korto near the Monastery of Lekatsas in Preveza, a masterpiece in the heart of a forest of immense natural beauty.

Leaving the monastery behind, we head to the village of Megadedro with our bikes, crossing downhill a dense wooded asphalt road until we reach the northern outskirts of the village. There we will look to Preveza on the left and Paxos on the right side of the blue waters of the Ionian Sea.

Our first stop, after passing through the village of Himadio, is Artholithia, a peculiar Mediterranean landscape that suddenly emerges in front of us and awe the wild beauty of its towering rocky rocks.

The dirt road of the beach lasts for ten minutes and takes us back to the olive-tree road, where we ride in the coastal village of Riza and head for the picturesque harbor of Lygia.

A forgotten hiking trail at the mouth of the harbor will help us to enjoy our ride with our mountain bikes and get on the top of our original road.

In front of us lies the beautiful beach of Loutsa. Walking from one side to the other for two kilometers to the coastal settlement we will stop at Mylos of Fleva – Anemelia, a perfectly organized beach bar where we will relax and enjoy frozen refreshments, food, good music and wonderful sea.
