Mountain Biking: Forest Filippiada–Red clay–Ziros lake Preveza

The area of Filippiada near Arta and Preveza is an ideal cross country arena for cycling excursions as the impressive and diverse relief enables bicycle lovers to explore with special excitement this continental canvas.

Our cycling tour starts with our mountain bikes from the city of storks on the outskirts of the settlement eleftherohori and crosses a path full of green, through the dense forest of Filippiada, the fertile plain of Thesprotikoy and the unusual Red Clay (Terra Rossa) ending up with an idyllic way to beautiful Lake Ziros.

On a verdant slope full with oaks and narrow-leafed ashs, next to the lake, our excursion finishes. At this point we have the opportunity to swim in this peaceful waters and silently feel the pulse. At an elevated point you will find a lake’s café-restaurant to  enjoy good food, coffee and the incredible panoramic view with the mountains setting all around.
