Description

The mountain refuge in the Athamanika Mountains or otherwise Tzoumerka, is part of the Prefecture of Pindos. It has three five-bed and two ten-bed rooms with heating, each of which has its own independent bathroom. In addition, in the fir forest that surrounds the shelter, there is a large area, ideally designed for camping with outdoor showers for the summer months.

The shelter from October, operates only from Friday to Sunday.

The kitchen of the shelter is open from early in the morning until late at night and is able to provide food to our guests.

Beautiful waterfalls and large in height, they offer a magical spectacle of winter - summer, such as Kefalovryso and the waterfall in the homonymous village. There are several gorges in the area of Matsouki. Many hiking trails start from the shelter. Canyoning in Tzoumera in Papapidima, further away in Deos in Metsovo, rafting in the river Arachthos, paragliding in the lake of Ioannina, 4x4 off road excursions in parts of Epirus!
