Hiking–Kayaking at the Acheron River

In the impressive gorge of Acheron, where the mythical river originates, creating in its course landscapes of immense tranquility and unique natural beauty, we will find ourselves to cross the “last path of the souls” on foot.

The Dragon cave, the Acheron Strait, the arched Dala’s bridge, the Tzavelena ladder are some of the splendid scenery you will see and you will understand why the ancient people chose this river as the entrance of the souls to Hades realm.

At the end of the hiking trail, the preparation of kayaking to the River starts. This is the path we follow as a representation of the passage of souls to Hades.

Finally, in a quiet tavern next to the river we will enjoy remarkable local gastronomy and cool coffee, under towering plane trees and shady willows.
