River Trekking in Agrafa

Friday: We will start our adventure in the beautiful mountains of Agrafa, inaccessible and untouched with a special character over the years. Departure from Athens, Corinth, Patra and Ioannina by arrangement, via Kompoti and Tatarna bridge, with Agrafiotis as guide we will go to Epiniana, settling in Panorama Hotel and overnight.

Saturday: Breakfast at the Hotel and departure for the abandoned settlement of Asprorema from where we will start the descent to the canyon of the same name, a beautiful path that alternates several times (bed-canyon-built-carved) until Epiniana. The route is of moderate difficulty lasting 6 to 7 hours and with several water passages. Return to Epiniana in the afternoon, rest and those who wish to visit Agrafa.

Sunday: We will visit the unknown beauties of Agrafiotis, the hole of Oskliani and the gorge of Fteris, or Apati for the locals. The approach will be made from the path of Anifora from the position of Elatos downhill to the bridge of Fteriotis and from there from the bed to the gorge. Total hike 6 hours. At Fteroremma we will need to enter the water, those who enter the gorge must have a swimsuit and a towel with them. Return to the village in the afternoon activity duration 7 hours.

In case the weather conditions do not allow an excursion there is always an alternative program.

All travel and support is done with our equipped vehicles.
The excursions can be followed by groups with their own 4 X 4 properly equipped.

To the participants, we provide a walking stick, waterproof, light snack midway and personal insurance. Individually, everyone must have the appropriate sports clothing, sturdy sports shoes, a small bag and water and whatever else they individually need (shirt, towel, etc.).

The cost does not include overnight accommodation and food. For transportation with our own 8-seater minivan, an extra charge of €30 per person.

The trip to Agrafa mountain, is an experience far from the usual destinations, in an area inaccessible and untouched until very recently. Hiking will have several waterways so you will need appropriate clothing and spare shoes that will get wet, in addition they should have with them a small bag with their personal belongings.
