First things first! NO PRE REQUISITES At this level you will practice various skills 4hours on land then will transfer you to the water for the next level.
Skills covered include assessing the wind and the physical location,safety, using the safety systems, managing proper equipment set-up and controlling the kite.

A1 - Know safe wind directions and conditions for kiting
A2 - Know hazards on a spot
A3 - Set up a trainer kite
A4 - Know the use of safety systems

B1 - Have basic flying skills with trainer kite
B2 - Launch and land the trainer kite with an assistant
B3 - Twist and untwist the lines while flying the kite
B4 - Walk and change directions while flying the kite
B5 - Know the wind window

C1 - Set-up a 4/5 line kite with a full depower system
C2 - Pre-flight check equipment and settings
C3 - In-flight check equipment and settings
C4 - Understand the use of international communication signals
C5 - Launch and land the kite to an assistant and as an assistant - 4/5 line de-power kite

D1- Control the kite hooked into the harness
D2 - Understand the de-power system and usage of safety systems
D3 - Adnanced flying skills with the de-power kite
D4 - Show full control of de-power systems in flight

E1- Pull quick release and activate leash
E2 - Recover the bar and kite
E3 - Self-land

Time to fly wet! REQUIRED IKO LEVEL 1 , learn more advanced and dynamic kite flying, practice drills that will build your way up to waterstarting and your first attend to ride, After level 2 you are considered independent and you are permitted to rent out equipment in all Iko schools under supervision.

In course details:

F1 - Enter and exit the water independently and safely while controling the kite
F2 - Water re-launch the kite
F3 - Body drag downwind
F4 - Maintain corect kite position in the wind window
F5 - Change direction to the left and right while body dragging

G1 - Upwind body drag to recover board
G2 - Upwind body drag holding the board with one hand
G3 - Enter and exit at the same point while upwind body dragging

H1 - Know the power stroke for a water start
H2 - Know the safety rules and theory for water start
H3 - Can put the board on the feet and maintain the correct position for water start

I1 - Water start in both directions and ride a short distance
I2 - Come to a controlled stop
I3 - Understand weather forecast, tidal and wind effects
I4 - Determine the wind strength, direction and quality
I5 - Know the right of way rules
I6 - Know equipment set up and choice according to the water conditions

Now you are rocking! REQUIRED LEVEL IKO 1&2 Your instructor can start to fine tune your style until riding upwind is second nature. You will also practice riding toe side and can attempt your fist jump and Jibe. This level focuses on advanced skills that will help you achieve independence in the water with safety 

In course details:

J1 - Control the riding speed by edging
J2 - Consistent riding in both directions

K1 - Consistent riding  in all directions including upwind
K2 - Ride amongst other other riders and respect the right of way rules

L1 - Change of direction without stopping
L2 - Self-rescue and full pack-down in deep water

M1- Risk assessment and awareness of the riding area
M2 - Self rescue

N1 - Make a toeside turn
N2 - Know the theory and the safety rules for jumping
N3 - Land a basic jump
