Εxcursion to Meteora

Friday: Departure from Corinth – Patras – Ioannina in the afternoon. Arrival at accommodation in Kastraki Kalambakas

Saturday: Hike to the northern part of the eerie rocks, we will visit the monasteries such as M. Meteorou Monastery, Varlaam Monastery, Agios Nikolaos Monastery and all the sights on this wonderful path. Route of moderate difficulty 4.5 – 5 hours in total and a distance of 9-10 km. Return and rest in the wonderful Trikala for the Halloween event.

Sunday: We will visit the old town of Kalambaka, the Byzantine Church of the Dormition of the Virgin, the Monastery of St. Triada and St. Stefanou and the Cave - Skete of Ag. Spirit. Total Duration 5 hours and a distance of 8km of moderate difficulty. Return and rest, walk in the city to the Carnival events.

Monday: Visit to Tyrnavos for koulouma, kite and tsipoura at Dionysiac "Bourani", food and return in the late afternoon.

Both hikes are of moderate difficulty and circular.

To the participants, we provide a walking stick, waterproof, light snack midway and personal insurance. Individually, everyone must have the appropriate sports clothing, sturdy sports shoes, a small bag and water and whatever else they individually need (shirt, towel, etc.).

In case the weather conditions do not allow an excursion there is always an alternative program.

The cost does not include overnight accommodation and food. For transportation with our own 8-seater minivan, an extra charge of €30 per person.
