Mushroom Festival Valia Calda & Lakes Flegga

Friday: Arrival and check-in at accommodation in the area 

Saturday: We will collect mushrooms from the outskirts of Valia Calda and the mountains of Metsovo with experienced guides. We will gather in a predetermined area, the trasportaion in the forest will be done with our 4 X 4 but also with cars that may be in our company (always 4 X 4). We will move to the areas that at this time, always give us a sufficient amount and variety of mushrooms, after completing the search at about 14:00, in a beautiful corner of Valia Calda we will taste our mushrooms from the hands of 2 experienced chefs in the forest at a meal based solely on mushrooms. Return to hotels late in the afternoon. The event will take place at the Pindos Resort

Sunday: we will visit all the magical images of the core and the Flegga Lakes. We will approach the alpine part of Montenegro and the wonderful landscape with the robolas and after reaching to the top of the lakes, we will follow the path to the core of Arkoudorema, where our vehicles will be waiting for us to wander in the rest of the valley. Duration of activity 10 hours (hiking 6 hours), distance 15 km. The excursion is moderate difficulty and requires basic physical condition. For those who do not want to do all the hiking, they can do as little as they want in Arkoudorema following the vehicles. In this case it is also suitable for children.

Total duration of activity 8 hours.

To the participants, we provide a walking stick, waterproof, light snack midway and personal insurance. Individually, everyone must have the appropriate sports clothing, sturdy sports shoes, a small bag and water and whatever else they individually need (shirt, towel, etc.).

In case the weather conditions do not allow an excursion there is always an alternative program.
The cost does not include overnight accommodation and food. For transportation with our own 8-seater minivan, an extra charge of €30 per person.
